Gwendolyn Kassenaar, Hyelim Kim & Maurizio Ravalico

Award winning visual artist Gwendolyn Kassenaar (b.1973 Amsterdam) works across painting, drawing and performance. A Chelsea College of Art graduate, she investigates the intersection of sound, body and spirituality.

Hyelim Kim is a composer, Korean daegeum flutist, and ethnomusicology researcher, dedicated to connecting cultures through music. She holds a PhD from SOAS, University of London. Hyelim has collaborated with renowned international orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris and the Orchestre National de Montpellier, and has participated in prominent festivals including the London Jazz Festival and the K-Music Festival.

Italian-born / UK-based percussionist, composer, producer, educator and sound-explorer Maurizio Ravalico is a multifaceted character whose broad span of specialisations and compulsive drive for styles cross-pollination is manifest in genre-defying acts like the trio Fiium Shaarrk, Tamar Osborn’s Collocutor, Phil Dawson’s Xtet and his varied solo projects, as well as a long list of collaborations in fields as diverse as afrobeat, pop, contemporary composition, jazz, improvised music, salsa, electronic experimental music, theatre and contemporary dance.

Jakub Rokita, Tomasz Glazik & Viv Corringham

Jakub Rokita is an audio-visual installation artist, performer and an arts-activist working out of Luton.

Tomek Glazik is a Polish saxophonist, improviser, composer, sound engineer, and producer based in London. Originally from the small town of Cekcyn in western Poland, he has been active on the music scene since 1997. Glazik is known for his dynamic and expressive playing, specializing in high-energy improvised music that bridges free jazz and noise, while also exploring a wide range of electronic music.

Viv Corringham (voice) is a US based British vocalist and sound artist, who has been described as “a vital force in improvised music since the late 1970s” (Corey Mwamba, BBC Radio 3).

She has been cutting her own distinctive path ranging across free improvisation, Greek Rembetika, soundscapes and spontaneously created songs. Work includes concerts, soundwalks, workshops and installations. She is a certified teacher of Deep Listening, having studied with composer Pauline Oliveros, and holds an MA in Sonic Art from Middlesex University, London.
