Dominic Lash is a freely improvising double bassist and electric guitarist who the Free Jazz Collective has called an “exceptional creative musician”. He also both writes and performs composed music and, as an academic, researches and writes about film.

Dave Tucker began performing in the punk movement of the 70’s in Manchester, his first release recorded in 1978 with Mellotron. In the 80’s he was a member of “The Fall”" touring with them and recording “Slates” as well as various John Peel sessions. After moving to London in the mid – 80’s he studied and played with Philipp Wachsmann and with members of the London scene including Dudu Pukwana, Andy Sheppard, Nick Evans, Johnny Dyani & John Stevens.

John Russell got his first guitar in 1965 while living in Kent and began to play in and around London from 1971 onwards.

Hannah Marshall makes music and plays the cello in improvised performance, cross-arts collaboration, composition and sound design, she also enjoys making films and drawing.

Kay Grant is a vocalist and improviser now relocated from London to Bristol, once tipped by TimeOut as “one of our finest free thinking virtuosos”. Using the voice as an instrumental component permeates her performance and underscores a commitment to the joy of ensemble playing. Her free approach is informed by an open-eared and open-armed path spanning styles and genres.

Harry is a poet, editor, publisher and critic writing on art, poetry and music. Recent books include Forty Fungi, poems about common English mushrooms illustrated by the artist Erica van Horn (Coracle Press) and eye-blink, from Veer Books (deliberately ‘faithless’ translations of T’ang Dynasty Chinese poetry). He is the only living poet published on the lawn of London’s Serpentine Gallery.
