As always, Mopomoso’s inclusive and welcoming spirit will shine, making this the perfect opportunity to connect with others, enjoy unique live music, and embrace the holiday cheer.

The Mopomoso end of year show! It’s that time of year again and Mopomoso celebrates all things improvised with our annual extravaganza at the Vortex. As in previous years the number of performers gets added to up until the day itself but typically we expect around 50 musicians playing short sets of 5 – 10 minutes or so. A great way to check out the vibrancy of the London free improvisation scene and see old friends and make new ones in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

It’s the End of Year Show!!! Starting at 2.00 p.m at The Vortex this is our final concert before the holidays and as usual will feature a large cast of musicians playing in different groupings and you are invited to bring food to share. We already have some musicians confirmed and the list will be added to right up until the day. We usually get about 50 people taking part and it is lots of fun with a chance to hear and meet up with old friends and also meet and make new ones.

A highlight on the improvising calendar, it’s that time of year again for the delights of our Christmas party. A chance to hook up with old friends and meet new ones, it’s a great way to see some fine musicians in a more informal setting and experience the wide variety to be found in this music. This year’s event takes place in the afternoon, and heralds a move to afternoon concerts – still on the third Sunday of the month – in 2015.

An annual end of year celebration of all things improvised with a ‘cast of thousands’. Since its inception some years ago Mopomoso’s end of year improvisorama has become a focal point for musicians to come and play in a series of short sets; to meet old friends and to make new ones. Certainly ‘the best party in town’ where audiences get a chance to experience a wide range of music in a less formal setting than our regular concert series.
